Now.For.Art, in conjunction with Zea Mays Printmaking, C3 and with a grant from the Northampton Arts Council, is proud to announce the first Northampton Steam Roller Printmaking Workshop!
Fifteen different individual artists and groups of artists will be making relief prints up to 4' by 8' using a steam roller in lieu of a printing press. Uncommon, but not unheard of, Steam Roller Printmaking workshops are fantastic opportunities for artists to make large-scale prints and for the public to witness a spectacular and unique art making process. Additionally The Eric Carle Museum will be on hand with a table of family friendly, educational print activities in which participants can create their own prints to take home.
The workshop will be followed by a reception that is free and open to the public from 7-9 pm in the Dynamite Space, basement of Thornes Marketplace. All the prints made from the workshop will be on display in addition to some of the carved blocks which the prints were created from.
