A Celebration of Poetry and Art

Free to the public. Museum Admission not required
Join The University of Massachusetts Juniper Initiative and The Carle for this celebration of poetry and art.

3:30-4:30: Gallery tour with Jane Bayard Curley, art historian and curator of “Into the Wood: Antonio Frasconi’s Art for Children,” which looks at the woodcuts of the internationally acclaimed artist, including his work with poets Pablo Neruda, W.S. Merwin, and Gabriela Mistral.

4:30-5:30: Roundtable: On Poetry & The Visual Arts: Jen Bervin, Terrance Hayes, & Matthea Harvey, moderated by Jane Curley.
