Event Description

Artist Rosemary Barrett will exhibit “Assemblage” in the Easthampton City Arts+ gallery from February 9 through February 28, 2012. An artist’s reception will be held on Saturday, February 11, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. during the February Fire and Ice celebration of Art Walk Easthampton.

In the tradition of Joseph Cornell, Barrett exhibits assemblage sculptures that explore poetic themes with found objects in delicate boxes.

Once exhibited amongst the works of Nevelson, Oldenburg, and Cornell, these boxes hold up as timeless views into the forbidden psychological landscape.
