In conjunction with Northampton’s Arts Night Out, on Friday November 11, 2011, UNITE will host a gallery reception for local illustrator and silkscreen printmaker Nate Duval from 6-9pm.  Refreshments will be served.  Nate’s work will be on display and for sale until December 9, 2011.

Nate Duval is a Longmeadow, MA based illustrator, designer and silkscreen printmaker.  He specializes in hand-drawn and hand-printed gig posters, art prints and apparel. 

In the past 5 years, Nate has built a world-wide fan base and has created original silkscreen posters and merchandise for popular bands and festivals such as: Phish, Wilco, Flight of the Conchords, The Decemberists, Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Newport Folk Festival, Spoon, Explosions in the Sky, Okkervil River and many, many more.

Nate’s fun, playful illustrations and designs can be found on various bits of packaging, advertising campaigns and products on his growing list of clients which include:  Sierra Nevada Brewery, Nike, Blue Q, Sweet ‘N Low, Keds and more. 

Expect to see a wide array of Nate’s silkscreen poster catalogue on display, a number of limited-edition hand-printed art prints, out-of-print pieces taken from his personal archive and a number of monoprints (one of a kind “test print” pieces) as well.

Nate will also be debuting a number of original hand-cut, fine art collage pieces at the opening.
