Event Description
Springfield resident Gina Beavers has been working professionally as an artist since 2001.Drawing inspiration from the work of some of her favorite artists such as Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Gustav Klimt and Marc Chagall, Beavers's pieces are bold declarations of a loyalty first and foremost to color and form. Her work focuses mostly on portraiture of people and with a dramatic use of saturation and bold lines. The show will also include pieces from her "Fresh Fish Designs" collection which she is developing into a line of t-shirts.
