January 21, 2012: TEDxPioneerValley, an independent event licensed by TED, is the brainchild of the Holyoke Community College Adult Learning Center. Inspired by new understandings emerging from the field of neuroscience, TEDxPioneerValley will explore the plasticity and potential of the adult brain, cracking open traditional notions of how learning happens. The day-long conference at Amherst College Jan. 21, 2012, is presented in collaboration with Amherst College, Smith College and Mount Holyoke College and their centers supporting community engagement and community-based learning.
