There will be a community "Art-In" in Kirkland Ave during Northampton's Arts Night Out on Friday, February 13th from 4-7pm. Local artists will gather to make work in and about Kirkland Ave, the alley between Downtown Sounds and La Fiorentina, that runs parallel to Main St. The Art-In kicks off a larger revitalization effort and public art project in Kirkland Ave. The aim of this first event is to raise awareness and spark creativity in this new site for public art. Work generated at this event will inform future projects in the alley. The Art-In is open to the public, and artists of all mediums and abilities are invited to participate.

"Kirkland Ave holds so many stories and a lot of potential, so it's really rich for the imagination," says Haley Morgan, C3 Project Manager, "By asking artists to act as investigators, we are asking them to unearth possibility. Through exploring our physical community, we can better understand our social community."
