A Spoken Word Performance of The 12 Women of the Roots To Resistance project

Sunday December 4^th 7PM at APE Gallery in downtown Northampton

This is a performance crafted by artist Denise Beaudet and the amazing directors of the Valley Vday Monologues Rachel and Pam Hannah. It is meant to be a performance of celebration, resistance and solidarity in this community. The words of the 12 Global Women Activists will be sent forth and spoken by local women from our own community with a backdrop of 8 ft high painted Portraits and Postcard Campaigns!

Suggested donation of $15 but no one will be turned away!

This is meant to be a community gathering and an act of community solidarity. Please join us in raising up the voices of these 12 Women Activists and resisting those who would stand in their way!

Roots To Resistance is an art and activism project being carried out by artist Denise Beaudet which involves the painting of twelve full sized portraits of women doing amazing work in the world. In addition to these profoundly moving 4foot by 8foot Portraits, the Roots project has created Global political postcard campaigns for each of these Activists that mobilize and link people together from every place on the globe. The postcards from each campaign will be available and free for all to take and send.
