Hi Carrie, Community Action provides free tax preparation. The last time I checked they only had a few slots left, but it would be worth a try! Call Carolyn at (413) 376-1136 to schedule an appointment. Good luck!

Artist Statement/Bio
I love to invent little stories and situations, and illustrate them with songs and pictures.

These days I mostly paint little landscapes that are dreamy peepholes into distant places, and some bigger pictures about communication between animals and trees and water and things. I like to paint stories about communication between people, animals, landscapes and other elements of nature (rocks, water, wind, the weather, etc).

I am often inspired by nature, most especially “desolate” northern landscapes of subarctic tundra and taiga. Most of my pictures take place in imaginary northern settings. I’m also drawn to themes that involve ghosts, monsters, the unexplainable, spirits and other elements of the supernatural, as well as angst-y themes of love, loss, and mortality.

More specifically, I use a lot of imagery (both lyrically and visually) involving horses, digging, signals, and stormy weather.
