As a queer artist, it is my mission to use the vocabulary of art to create space and dialogue for the infinite array of complex and shifting identities which make up the greater mosaic of our community. I can't seem to stop making portraits!
I am a local Northampton artist living in the area after graduating from Smith College in 2009. I have a B.A. In Studio Art with concentrations in printmaking and graphic design. I work across a number of traditional and non-traditional medias and have produced bodies of work that range from printmaking, paintings and drawings to video, animation, installation and performance. I have a number of collections that make up my portfolio but a common theme in my work is portraiture. I assert bold questions about gender, body & identity politics, explore the formation of community and the queer “chosen family” and tend to spill my guts with openness and honesty that is hard to speak in words & harder to ignore. I am seeking to become more involved in the local art scene and would love the chance to meet new artists, find new venues and network to the Pioneer Valley arts community.
Please add me and reach out if you like my work!
