Finding my inspiration in the natural world, intertwined with my own inner landscapes, I find beauty in unearthing the under-developed and oppressed areas of ourselves and our society- physically, emotionally, spiritually, and ideologically.
Depending upon mood and concept, my work consists of; oil pastels, oil paint, watercolors, poster paint, colored pencils, acrylics, ink, movement or words.
Recently I came out with my first book (which I authored and created the artwork for) titled, She is a River. The book was inspired by the Park River, and by my time living above it in downtown Hartford CT.
I am a dancer and an instructor of Intuitive Belly Dance. Intuitive Belly Dance uses the foundation of Middle Eastern dance as a way of connecting our intuition with the interplay of movement, rhythm, and spiritual intention. Within this creative space we explore how our chakras (energy centers) can create a conscious creative shift that allows us to move freely, yet enables us to access traditional movements.
Currently I am combining all of my creative outlets by designing my own tarot deck based upon a unique vision of art, dance and music.
