A diverse group of local artists will present work that explores ideas of space and place. Inside Emma Silverman will present documentation and performance actions from her exploration of the one square mile around her childhood elementary school.

She will invite the public to create their own one-square mile projects, to unearth personal histories in and around their hometowns.
Also featured will be Bob Hepner's Carnival Truck

One month before the artHAPPENING, artists convened in Kirkland Ave to begin research for site-specific installations as part of The Kirkland Ave Project. These installations will be on view in Kirkland Ave during the artHAPPENING

. Additionally, throughout the night, a team of artHAPPENING "Conductors" will guide visitors through the event, encouraging them to interact with and respond to the art.

The event is open to the public. All donations will benefit Commonwealth Center for Change.
