Taking a stand for Artists' Free Speech

Today the Canal Gallery took a stand for supporting Artists' Free Speech.
As tonight's opening reception for "All At Once" quickly approaches;
this morning an artist in the building voiced a concern over the explicit
nature of one piece. David Scher, the founder did not agree and asked
a few of us to discuss it with him. We shared the view that censorship
must not be entertained within this art space. Our conversation touched
upon intentions of growing into a stronger vehicle for contemporary art in
the Valley. This is an exciting time to be an artist.
