Go GARAMANIACAL for a Good Cause!

As part of the GARAMANIACAL show FOE and Garamania both felt strongly about adding a community engagement component.  So as part of this show we’ll be running an event to raise money for MSPCC.  MSPCC has an office in Holyoke and offers direct services to more than 4,700 children and their families in communities throughout Western Massachusetts each year.  Have fun, get entered in a drawing for awesome toys, be part of GARAMANIACAL and support a great…

January so far....

I've been working on a circle a day, and I've got 15 so far:

January so far

I am having serious issues with the foiling process, which is why 15 looks so different. I wound up using origami paper fused to the circle, instead of fusible web and foil. I'll either figure it out or never use foil…

a circle a day

three

I've started a project for January (and have plans for the year).

A circle a day, number 3 shown above. The circles have to fit into a Trader Joe's round chocolate tin, and adopt the colors and themes of the month. I laid out thoughts for my themes…

Share your space and use my etching press.

Hello,

I have a sweet 16'" x 40" etching press and I am looking to work out a barter with someone with a studio space.  Basically I will place the press in your space where you can have free access to it in exchange for allowing me to use the press occasionally; about once or twice a week.  I want to be clear that I am not donating the press.  I am simply working out a situation where we both have access to a really great piece of equipment.  This is a great opportunity for a…

Live painting with live DJ in Northampton, tonight at Karma!

Looking for something to do tonight? I'll be doing a live painting while DJ Addam Bombb will be spinning a great set of music to shake your rump to. It's all happening at The Green Room, in the upstairs of Karma on Main St. in Northampton.

There's room to dance and plenty of seating if you like hanging out in some dark corners and being mysterious. Karma has a great selection of organic beers and wine, and a delicious vegan food menu too!

It's tonight! Friday,…

Perspectives on War — Online & In Person —

"It is my feeling that people are drawn to wars culturally as much as, if not more than, politically; therefore, an understanding of how wars exist in human consciousness can only be reached through discourses that include cultural and creative expressions. Art, in all its forms, is the only way to access the most visceral human reactions to war." - Tyler Boudreau, author "Packing Inferno: The Unmaking of a…
